1 c butter, softened
3/4 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 c flour, sifted twice
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and extracts.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Resift, and gradually stir into egg mixture.
For different colored cookies, divide the dough into separate bowls.
Choose the food eoloring you want and add a few drops to each bowl.
Put some of the dough in a cookie press, and press onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Keep unused batter in refrigerator.
Bake 5 to 7 minutes.
They should not turn brown.

Makes a lot!
