2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt 3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbs. milk
FILLING:
2 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbs. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first 8 ingredients together to make dough soft enough to divide in half and roll out to fit a floured baking sheet. To make the filling: Boil the raisins in enough water to cover them. Add sugar and vanilla. Thicken with flour. After cooking, pour the raisin mixture onto the baking sheet with the first dough under it. Roll out other 1/2 of the dough on wax paper; flip or turn it over the raisins and peel the wax paper off. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes until lightly browned or done.
