2 c. oysters
4 medium potatoes
4 carrots
1/4 lb. bacon
4 stalks celery
2 c. milk
1 large onion
oyster crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Cut bacon into very small pieces and fry lightly in deep skillet. Add oysters with natural juices to bacon. Add 1/8 pound butter in chunks and heat until oyster edges start to curl. Slice potatoes, onions and carrots as if to make scalloped potatoes. Then cut celery in small pieces. Cover veggies with water and boil 12 minutes with salt or until celery starts getting soft.
Sprinkle garlic salt over oysters and add meat to partially cooled veggies. Add milk, pepper and salt to taste.
Heat but do not boil milk! Don't drain veggie water or butter from meat. They add flavor.
Serve with oyster crackers and chunks of sharp cheese.
Serves 5.
