Directions:
Put dried fruit on to cook with water. Let cook down until water is out- DON'T LET IT BURN AND DON'T LEAVE IT SOUPY.
Use potato masher and blend in enough sugar and cinnamon to taste. Put in refrigerator overnight.
Take out Pillsbury Grands Jr. Biscuits ( you know how to put your flour down) and - Roll out biscuits so they make about a 6 1/2 inch diameter circle. We used a pattern from a big round plastic dish and just cut around it because my rolling pin circles were not quite round. Put a tablespoon of apple mixture on one side of circle. Fold over. Dip fork into water and go around edges to close. Aunt Jack uses an electric frying pan but Nanny fried them in a cast iron skillet. You can use either. Put enough crisco into pan to fry pies. Approximately 375 degrees.

Personal Notes:
Dana wanted to learn how to make fried apple pies. So he and I went to Aunt Jack's and she taught us how to make them. It is a time that we will never forget.
