Ingredients:
Large mixing bowl with handle
Wooden Spoon
Cookie Sheet
Pam (butter flavor)

In Microwave:
1 cup sugar 1 stick salted butter
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon white corn syrup
½ cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup almonds (slivers chopped)

Directions:
Microwave:
In a large mixing bowl add sugar, butter, water and corn syrup. Do not mix. Microwave for 2 minutes. Remove immediately and stir until creamy. Return to microwave for 8-9 minutes, depending on your microwave temp. (It usually takes about 5 ½ minutes with my microwave).

Spray a cookie sheet or pan with butter flavored Pam. Have your almonds ready and chocolate chips when toffee comes out of microwave. Immediately stir toffee to mix thoroughly and while doing this add about half of almonds.

Spread on pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on hot toffee. Allow to melt and then spread. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top and cool.

Stovetop Method:
In small heavy pan put 2 sticks of butter and 1 cup sugar. Start on high heat and switch to medium heat, stirring lightly. When mixture starts to boil, start timing for 9 minutes stirring constantly.
Pour toffee onto foil lined cookie sheet and immediately spread to even thin consistency.

Sprinkle ¼ cup chocolate chips over toffee. When partially melted, spread evenly. Sprinkle ¼ cup grated almonds on top. Let cool, then break into bite size pieces.

This is the best ... hard not to eat the entire batch!
