chickens cut in 1/8 (can use a lot if serving many)
vegetable(all colors peppers, onions, carrots, leak, sweet potatoe, tomatoe, fresh cilantro, dill, basil, celery, parsnip, fennel, fresh lemon. Only use the white part of the fennel and the leak. Fresh garlic(at least 6 pieces and chop up very well.) Sweet paprika salt and pepper to taste

Wash the chicken well and dry well on paper towels.
Into a large soup pot, place chicken pieces and rub well with the juice of a lemon.
Cut up all vegetable into small pieces and place on top of chicken pieces.
cut up cilantro, dill, basil(about 1/2 cup of each) and garlic and put on top of vegetable.
Season with salt and pepper.and sweet paprika
Cook on top of stove(start with medium, low flame and when the chicken starts to boil, turn down flame to low boil)
Let it cook for at least 3 hrs. until all melds together and there's a lovely gravy covering the chicken and vegetable.

I serve this dish for Pesach. I always make it in top of the stove in a soup pot, but Sarah makes it in the oven in a baking dish and she says it comes out delicious also.
