Boil all together 3 min. When cold, put 2 level tsp. soda in mixture. Put 1 tsp. baking powder in a qt. of flour. Add to mixture and bake 1 hr. at 350º. I sometimes bake in loaf pans and have put candied fruit and nuts in for a quick chocolate fruit cake.
