Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 3/4 c. flour
7 T. cocoa
1 c. sugar
3 t. cinnamon
3/4 t. cloves
11/2 t. allspice
21/4 c. shortening
21/4 c. milk 11/2 t. salt
3/4 t. baking soda
3/4-1 bag Nestle's chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients (except chips) together in a large bowl. Blend thoroughly with wooden spoon. PARTIALLY melt crisco in microwave (I use glass measuring cup). WASH HANDS! Pour in milk and crisco and mix with hands. (very gooey but boy does it work!) Wash hands, divide dough in 3 balls .Wrap in saran. Take a ball at a time and roll in small balls and place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes until a little heel is formed. Do Not over bake !! Frost with chocolate butter cream or glaze with a thin white frosting.
However; the best way is to dip in milk and place in a brown bag filled with confectionery sugar and shake. Makes about 100 cookies.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Grandma Frances always did the shaking method BUT you can not freeze this way.. ..you must freeze as is, and frost as needed. This is the traditional way....very tasty. A Christmas cookie tray must!
