1 pound ground chuck hamburger
salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup good Italian bread crumbs
1 tsp. parsley
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
chopped onions
crushed garlic

Directions:

Add salt and pepper to ground chuck. Add two eggs and mix. Add in milk, breadcrumbs, herbs, parsley, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, onion and garlic. Mix well by hand. Heat oil in a pan. Wet hands and roll 8 balls by hand (wetting your hands make them come out round). If it is too soft, add a little more bread crumbs. Fry until nice and brown but not cooked all the way through. Drain good and add to sauce for at least 1 1/2 hours.

Mamie says you may add more seasoning if your taste desires. Mamie said she learned this from Grandma Vitale. Mamie said the milk makes the balls stand more firm.
