1 1/2 C sugar
1 C shortening
1 C sour cream
4 C flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add well beaten eggs. Sift baking powder, salt, and flour. Dissolve soda in sour cream and add alternately with flour. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass which has been greased and dipped in sugar. Bake in 350º oven until cookies start to turn brown.

I think I got my joy of cooking from helping Grandma cook. I remember making these cookies with her, she would roll into balls and I would get to flatten the cookie. Nothing is better then the smell of cookies at grandma's!
