2 Cups shortening (crisco)
2 Cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
6 cups oats (old fashioned)
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 pkg. vanilla chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening & sugar. Blend eggs & vanilla-fold flour, salt & baking soda, oats, nuts & chips. Roll into small balls~smash with fork. Bake at 350 º 10 - 12 min.

You don't have to add the nuts, of course, but I like them. This recipe makes a TON of cookies!
