6 Yukon Gold potatoes cleaned and cubes
3 stalks of celery sliced thin
1 medium onion dice
2 T butter
Salt and pepper to taste.
1 qt half and half.
1 c Chix broth

Directions:
Directions:
sautés onion, and celery, and add chicken broth and butter until the vegetables are slightly soft. Add potatoes to the chicken broth and boil until tender. When the potatoes are tender you should have about 1/2 cup of liquid left. Add onion and celery to the softened potatoes. Let the mix cool slightly and slowly add 1/2 and 1/2 making sure not to curdle the milk.

My mother always made this soup in the winter, the smell and taste are wonderful. it will stick to your ribs. This was usually served with a grilled ham and chess sandwich
