1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb pork
1 beaten egg
1 Small tomato paste
1 c bread crumbs
1 c milk
1 small onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped fine
2 or 3 slices of bacon
salt, and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the above ingredients in a large bowl shape in to loaf and place it into a lined loaf pan. Place bacon strips on top of meatloaf, and some tomato juice
Bake at 350º for an hour or an hour and a half.

I bought a loaf pan from William Somam that has small holes in the bottom
This pan allows the meat fat to drain away from the meat and reduces the meat setting in the dripping
