Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup butter, soft
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 lb. hard candy (like Jolly Ranchers)

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl; combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl; beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy with mixer at medium speed. Drizzle in syrup. Stir in flour mix ½ cup at a time, blending well. Form dough into ball, cover and set aside 15 minutes.

Crush candy by color in a plastic with a hammer into ¼ inch pieces.

On a lightly floured surface; roll dough to ¼ inch or thinner. Cut out using 2” to 4” cutters. Use tiny cutters, canapé cutters or a knife to cut out the middle. Leave ¼” between the cutout and the edge or the cookie will break. Arrange 1” apart on foil covered sheets. Fill the holes with the crushed candy and bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes or until candy is bubbling. Cool 20 minutes before peeling the foil off the back.
