½ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 well-beaten eggs
2 T. cream (evaporated milk works)
1 T. vanilla
3 ½ c. regular flour (try 3 first)
2 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, cream and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to the creamed mixture. Shape into a mound, divide. Wrap in waxed paper, chill thoroughly. Roll on lightly floured board ¼ inch thick. Cut out shapes and bake 10 min. at 350 until lightly browned.
