1/2 c. oil
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. margarine (or butter)
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oil, butter and sugars. Add eggs and flavorings. Stir together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well but don't overbeat. Use cookie scoop to drop balls on cookie sheet. Press with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350º for 8 to 11 mins. (These shouldn't really brown, so watch carefully.)

These cookies do not work for cut-out sugar cookies. These actually taste like cookies instead of cardboard.

My sister has entered these cookies in lots of County and State fairs and has won blue ribbons every time.
