1/2 cup salted butter
2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate (i.e. Baker's)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat; stir in sugar. Blend in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts; mix well. Spread in greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
