Suet pudding:
1 cup suet, finely chopped
1 c sour milk
½ t cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
3 ½ c flour
1 c molasses
1 cup fruit, nuts
1 tsp baking soda

Hard Sauce:
1 egg yolk
1 ½ c powdered sugar
½ c butter
vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolk.

For Pudding:
Put in steamer container with water at bottom.
How Mom does it:
Fill large container with jar metal lid rings on the bottom with water, fill coffee can with pudding about 2/3 full. Put waxed paper on top of coffee can, and put a closed lid on top of everything so steam cannot escape. Simmer 3 hours.
