Personal Notes:
Ethel Fox was very tall, slender and laughed easily! She and her husband Earl lived 4 properties south of Isabelle and Cal. Earl liked to go coon hunting and had coon dogs. Now, the three dogs were penned and Earl warned Sharon and Connie not to go through the narrow path between the pen and the garage where the dogs sometimes were chained as they were eating. Well, the dogs barked frequently and when they were not barking, lying down, etc. they seemed harmless. So, to get to Ethel's house cutting through the path was the quickest way. As Connie was hurrying through the path while the dogs "were at rest", they suddenly began barking and coming at her. The scar remains on the inside of her right thigh!!! Not able to recall how many stitches it required, she does recall the lecture she received when the situation settled down. Ethel and Isabelle were good friends and shared recipes frequently.
