3 c. wild garlic
6 c. water
1 c. milk
1 t. cornstarch
salt and pepper

Directions:

Chop wild garlic, tops and all. Boil in water until garlic is tender. Mix milk and cornstarch, salt and pepper together and pour into water and garlic. Reduce heat and simmer until soup is thick.

Miranda, Papaw Perry grew up in a very hard environment. As they were working in the fields, they would go to the edge of the woods and gather wild garlic to be able to have something for supper.
Wild garlic is similar to wild onions. You can use either one. Be careful gathering them. Snake weed is very similar, snake weed is toxic.
