Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 German Chocolate cake mix 2 sticks butter
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 bag of caramels
pecans 6 Hershey candy bars

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix cake mix according to directions on box. Scoop out 2 cups of cake mix to a separate bowl, add 1 stick of melted butter and 1/3 can of Eagle Brand milk and mix well. Pour into greased pan and bake till done, about 20 - 25 min. While cake is baking melt bag of caramels with 1 stick butter and remaining Eagle Brand milk and pecans. When cake is cooked, pull it out and pour caramel mixture on top. Pour remaining cake batter on top of caramel. Bake until top layer is done. Pull out cake and immediately put candy bars on top and cover with foil, this will help the chocolate melt, spread it around to cover top. Let them cool. These are very sweet, that is why we use a large pan and cut them small. Enjoy with a glass of milk!!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My sister-in-law (Cindy Clifton) used to make these all the time. She used a large lasagna type pan (11x15). They were thin, yummy, and gooey!! I use a lg. disposable pan. I usually leave out the nuts. I made a pan for an elementary school dessert auction fundraiser. The pan sold for $195 plus someone paid $40 for the recipe!! Yes, that good!!
