1/2 Cup butter (room temp)
1 cup flour
2 Tablespoons water

1 teaspoon almond extract

Preheat oven to 350º

Cut half of the butter into 1 cup of the flour sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over mixture mix and round into a bal;l; divide in half. On ungreased baking sheet, pat each into a strip 12X3 about 3 inch's apart.

Heat 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and quickly stir in extract and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball about 1 min remove from heat beat in all eggs until smooth and glossy.
Divide in half spread each half with mixture bake 60 min or until topping is crisp and brown Cool (topping will shrink and fall forming a custardy top . Can frost with sugar glaze.
