2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 2/3 cups milk
2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Cream butter and sugar.
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs and milk
In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
Add dry mixture to creamed mixture, alternating with egg mixture.

Pour mixture into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan and bake for 22-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cut into squares and serve warm.
