4 cups toasted bread cubes
1/2 cup raisins
1 quart milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 Tbsp melted butter
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
1. Place bread cubes and raisins in buttered 3 quart casserole.
2. Scald milk.
3. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients.
4. Add scalded milk and mix well. Pour over bread cubes and raisins.
5. Set casserole in pan and pour hot water in pan to a depth of about 1 inch.
6. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
