1 ¼ teaspoons yeast
1 ½ tablespoons water
Pinch of sugar
Mix together and set aside.


3 cups of all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

Mix together then add: ½ cup cold butter
Work dry ingredients to crumbs.

Mix together:

1 cup buttermilk and add the yeast mixture.

Directions:
Directions:
Add combined liquid ingredients all at once to the dry ingredients. Mix together.
Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest for 2 hours.

Roll out to ½ inch thick, fold in half and roll out again. To ½ inch thick, cut with a 2 ½ inch cutter.

Bake in preheated 425f oven for 10 to 12 minutes
