1 large cabbage
6 medium sized onions
9 green peppers
9 red peppers
1/2 cup pickling salt
3/4 cup white mustard seed
1 Tbsp. celery seed
4 cups white sugar
white vinegar to cover





Directions:
Directions:
Chop cabbage finely, chop onions and red and green peppers, add salt and let stand - over night.
In the morning - drain well. Add mustard seed, celery seed and sugar. Cover with white vinegar.
Place on stove and heat until sugar is dissolved, but "Do Not Boil", stir occasionally.
Pack in clean jars, wipe jar tops with clean cloth and seal. Place jars in hot water and bring to boil for 30 minutes

Do not use table salt for pickling.
If you wish, use more cabbage and less peppers
You may also add some pickling spice if desired.
Although not fully cooked - It will keep for years
