2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 lb. raw peanuts
1/8 t. salt
1 t. vanilla extract
2 T butter
2 t. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup, and 1 cup water in sauce pan. Cook to 270 to 290 degrees on candy thermometer, soft-crack stage. Stir in peanuts. Cook until golden brown. Add salt, vanilla and butter; mix well. Remove from heat. Stir in soda quickly. Spread on buttered surface. Cool. Break into pieces.
