4 pound brisket
1 onion
4 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup wine (anything you like)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon parsley
Paprika, salt, pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º

Sprinkle paprika on brisket and brown 30 minutes on each side.

Lower heat to 350º
Add salt, pepper and onion.

In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Pour over meat and cover tight.
Cook for approximately 1 3/4 hours.

*Optional: Cut up potatoes and carrots and put under brisket after browning on both sides.
