2 c. sugar 1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water 1/2 c. butter

Directions:
Cook to hard ball stage (drop in cold water and it will crack when dropped into the water). Pour into buttered dish to cool. When cool enough to handle, drop a few drops of vanilla into taffy and pull, over and over again. Lay out on buttered counter and cut into pieces.

Momma use to make this for us and it was so fun and so good. Momma could handle the taffy when it was so hot still. I never knew how she could do that.
