Personal Notes:
1980, picture this, like one of the Golden Girls, Estelle Getty said. On the Hovrud farm, Hegge, Lo, Valdres, Norway. When I was there, Gunhild, the widow of Ivar Hovrud, was making flat bread in the summer cook house. Ivar Hovrud was a nephew of Grandpa Engebret Hovrud.
We later enjoyed it with sweet cream and strawberries, looking across the Strandefjord to the Strand church, where Grandpa E.J. Hovrud attended. His parents, sister Anna, brothers, Ivar, Johan and Helge are buried in this beautiful cemetery.
