1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. brown sugar
2 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and peanut butter until well blended. Add eggs and beat 1 minute. Blend dry ingredients and add to peanut butter mixture. Place about 1 1/2 Tbsp. batter on greased cookie sheet 3 inches apart. Press each cookie with thumb. Bake at 375º about 12 minutes, depending on oven. May need to reduce heat. Yields 4 dozen big cookies.
