3/4 Cup Crisco
2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Allspice
1/8 tsp Salt
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Chopped Dates
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Warm buttermilk and sugar then add vanilla, eggs and beat with mixer until it forms a smooth paste and set aside. Mix all remaining dry ingredients together cutting in crisco then add dates, nuts and buttermilk mixture together mixing well. Pour in to13x9 pan and Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes.
