1 pound hamburger
1/2 cup uncooked regular rice
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Mix hamburger, rice, 1/2 cup water, the onion, salt, celery salt, garlic powder and pepper. Shape mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls into 12 balls. Cook meatballs in 10-inch skillet until brown on all sides; drain.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meatballs. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. (Add water during cooking if necessary).
Oven Porcupines: Place meatballs in square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meatballs. Cover and cook in 350º oven 45 minutes. Uncover and cook 15 minutes longer.

I always made these using the oven method but would brown the meatballs in a skillet and drain off the fat before placing in baking dish.
