10-15 cloves of garlic
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
1 finely chopped sweet onion
A few red pepper flakes
One pound angel hair or linguini pasta
2 Lbs cleaned, deveined medium to large shrimp
(2nd)1/2 stick butter
2 cups dry, white wine
(additional) 2Tbsp EVOO
2 cups low/no salt chicken,fish, vegetable or clam broth
small bunch of chopped, fresh parsley
juice of one lemon
1/4 cup fresh, grated Romano (my favorite)

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan with 1/2 stick butter and EVOO, shave thin then chop and saute` garlic and onion on low heat to carmelize. Add a few red pepper flakes when cooking complete.
Start coking pasta (takes only a few minutes). Turn saucepan heat to high and add 2 LBs of shrimp for 6 minutes, take shrimp out of pan when they start to turn pink, and put aside. Finish sauce in pan on high heat.
Add other 1/2 stick of butter, wine, add'l EVOO, stock/broth, parsley, lemon juice. Heat till bubbles and alcohol reduced.
Throw shrimp back in, add a little starchy pasta water, bubble again. Add drained pasta and toss together Plate with fresh grated cheese on top.
