Cranberry-Orange Cookies Recipe

1 Cup sugar
½ Cup brown sugar, packed
1 Cup margarine-at room temperature
2 TBSP orange juice (frozen concentrate)
1 tsp orange rind (grated)
1 egg
2 ½ Cups flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
½ Cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1¾ Cups chopped, fresh cranberries

Golden Butter Icing
¼ Cup Butter (must be real butter)
3 TBSP cream or Half and Half
¼ tsp Vanilla
2 Cups powered sugar.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugars, margarine, OJ, orange rind, and egg together. Beat in flour, salt , baking soda. Stir in nuts and cranberries.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls approximately 1 “ apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 13 minutes. Cool and then frost with Golden Butter Icing.

Golden Butter Icing
Lightly brown melted butter and remove from heat. Add cream and vanilla. Stir in the powered sugar. Beat until smooth and thick enough to spread.
