1 lb. light brown sugar (3 1/4 c. = 1 lb.)
2 sticks regular Oleo
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (maybe a little extra)
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Cream butter and brown sugar until light. Add eggs and vanilla, stir well. Sift all other ingredients together (except pecans) twice. Add nuts to sugar mixture. Pour dry ingredients into sugar mixture and mix thoroughly. Divide dough into four portions. Form into rolls. Wrap in wax paper and freeze. When frozen, slice into 1/8 in. (maybe 3/16 in.) slices (they will expand). Place on dark ungreased cookie sheet 1/2 in. apart.

Cook at 375º until light brown (8-9 mins.) Cool on rack.
