4 eggs
1/2 C sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 qt. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Ground nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, beat eggs, sugar and salt until it combines; set aside. Microwave milk until hot; remove from heat. Add about 1 cup milk to egg mixture, stirring constantly. Pour egg-milk mixture and milk into saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until finger leaves a path when drawn across the back of a metal spoon, about 5 minutes. DO NOT BOIL. Stir in vanilla. Refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. Before serving, sprinkle nutmeg over cup of eggnog.
