1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 bag frozen medium cooked shrimp, thawed
Alternate - chicken chunks or for classic rumaki - chicken livers
1 pound thinly sliced bacon

Directions:
Wrap water chestnut and shrimp with enough bacon to slightly overlap and then skewer with a toothpick. Broil until bacon in cooked and golden brown. Use paper towels to drain.

Use this technique to wrap asparagus spears, mushrooms, sugar snap peas, or broccoli that have been slightly steamed in the microwave.
