Directions:
Grease a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle coconut and pecans in bottom of pan. Prepare cake mix following package directions. Pour over coconut and pecans. Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Drop cream cheese mixture by large spoonfuls evenly on top of cake batter. Bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes. The cake is done when it has a dull appearance and "cake islands" feel firm. Cool. To serve, turn over on plate.

Personal Notes:
Make sure the spoonfuls of cream cheese are at least 2 tbsp. each so that it sinks to the bottom to make the "frosting". Also, using buttermilk instead of water to make the cake results in a denser cake.
