1 clove garlic
1 C dry white wine
1 t lemon juice
2 C (8 0z grated Gryere cheese
2 C (8 oz) grated Emmental cheese
2 T cornflour
2T kirsch
pinch of white pepper
pinch of grated nutmeg
cubes of French, bread to serve

Directions:
Directions:
1. Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the cut clove of garlic
2. Pour in wine and lemon juice and heat gently until bubbling
3. Reduce the heat to low and gradually stir in the rated cheeses with a wooden spoon, then continue to heat until cheeses melts, stirring frequently
4. In a small glass bowl, blend cornflour smoothly with kirsch, then stir into cheese mixture
5. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes until mixture is thick and smooth, stirring frequently
6. Do not allow fondue to boil
7. Season with pepper and nutmeg
8. Serve with cubes of French bread
