31/2 Sticks oleo (room temp)
6 Eggs
2 2/3 Cup sugar
3 oz Lemon extract
4 Cups sifted flour with 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 lb candied cherries (chopped)
1/4 lb candied pineapple (chopped)
1/4 lb white raisens
4 Cups chopped pecans

Topping (if desired)
10 tsp sugar
10 tsp water
5 tsp Karo
Boil for 5 mins. Pour over cake while cooling
Let cool before removing from pan

Cream first three ingredients real good by hand.
Mix all together and bake at 300º for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs depending on size of pan
Test after 1 hr 15 mins with tooth pick
