3 cups Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
2 cups Sugar
1 tbsp. Vinegar
1 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Cocoa
2 cups Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together Flour, Baking Soda and Salt.
In a separate large bowl, mix Sugar, Vinegar, Vegetable Oil and Cocoa.
Add dry ingredients to Sugar mixture, alternating with Water.
Stir well. Mix in Vanilla.
Place in a greased and Floured 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick in center comes out clean.

This was the go-to cake at our house when we were growing up....sometimes it was iced, sometimes we ate it with a little butter on it.
