1½ Pounds Ground Beef
¾ Cup Oatmeal (I use Quick Oats)
¼ Cup Chopped Onion
½ Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Pepper
8 Ounce Can Tomato Sauce (Reserve 4 Tablespoons For Topping)
1 Egg (Beaten)

Topping: Reserved Tomato Sauce, Water, Sugar, Prepared Mustard, Ketchup, Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. I use my hands to mix it all together. Place meatloaf in a greased standard loaf pan. To the reserved tomato sauce add a tablespoon or two of water, teaspoon of sugar, teaspoon of prepared mustard, tablespoon ketchup and a dash of salt and pepper. Mix together and pour over top of meatloaf.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Mom made this meatloaf for us all the time. I’m sure she doubled or tripled the recipe to feed us all. We loved it and still do!
