1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 bananas, mashed
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts---optional

Preheat oven to 350. Mix sugar, butter, and eggs with a mixer for 2 minutes in a large bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients ; stir until well blended. Pour into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan or smaller loaf pan. Bake 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes.
