2 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup Karo light & dark syrups
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Pop the popcorn and keep warm. Prepare in a 2 quart sauce pan, sugar, corn syrups, water, butter and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking without stirring until temperature reaches 270º (a small amount dropped into cold water turns to very firm). Remove from heat, add vanilla then stir mixture until well blended. Slowly pour over warm popped corn, stirring to cover every kernel of corn. In order handle shaping of balls, grease hands with a little margarine. Shape balls.

For Christmas, divide the syrup mixture and color one batch green and the other red. After balls are shaped you can stack them in the shape of a Christmas tree and sprinkle with green and red sugars.
