1 dozen whole mushrooms
1/4 c onion, finely chopped
1 c bread crumbs
1/4 c parmesan cheese
1/4 c mayonnaise
1 egg
2 t garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
1 T parsley or Italian seasoning (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Take the stems off the mushroom caps, reserving the stems in a separate bowl. Place the mushroom caps upside down on a greased shallow baking pan. Chop the stems finely and mix with the remaining ingredients. Scoop the mixture evenly into each mushroom cap. Bake at 375º for 30-45 minutes depending on size of the mushrooms, until browned on top.

I always prefer fresh bread crumbs over packaged dry, but either is fine.
