1 lb (or 2) dried Great Northern Beans
Left over ham hock *
2 onions
2 dried bay leaves (or 1/2 fresh)

* (Ham that had been glazed with pineapple works really well for some added richness and flavor)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Follow instructions on package to clean and soak beans - a one hour quick soak works well when pressed for time or you want firmer beans

2. Drain beans and add FRESH H20 per instructions on bag

3. Add ham hock

4. Add the two onions, cut up and the bay leaves

5. Cook slowly for 3 hours

6. Enjoy!
