1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup shortening
(I use Butter Flavor Crisco)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add vanilla and egg. Add remaining
ingredients (sifted together). Roll into
small balls, place on un-greased cookie sheet
and flatten with the bottom of a glass
dipped in sugar. Bake for approximately
10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
You can serve these with or without
butter cream icing.
