Honeysuckle Butterball Turkey 18-20 pounds

Pepperidge Farm Dressing - 1 pkg
water chestnuts
mushrooms
giblets,cooked
eggs-2 beaten
poultry seasoning 1 tsp
pepper
sage 1/4 tsp
thyme 1/8 - 1/4 tsp

Directions:
Directions:
Thaw turkey in refrigerator for 3 days. ( see package directions) clean turkey under running water; dry inside cavity; wash giblets; put turkey breast side up in roaster pan; rub with crisco; Cover breast and top of drumstick with foil loosely; bake according to directions, at 325º;baste every 30 minutes; test for doneness ( shake the leg).

Meanwhile, cook giblets (for the dressing) in enough water to cover. Add carrot, celery,onion, salt for a rich flavor; if using liver, put it in the last hour; strain, cool, chop giblets for dressing.

Dressing:
Saute onions and celery in butter till tender crisp; use chicken broth to prepare dressing mixture according to package directions; add water chestnuts, mushrooms, giblets, 2 beaten eggs, and seasonings; Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
