German chocolate cake mix

ICING:
1 1/2 c sugar
2 t vanilla
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
12 oz can evaporated milk
1 1/2 c chopped pecans
2 c shredded coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix according to package directions. In a saucepan, cook sugar, vanilla, butter, egg yolks, and milk over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and add coconut and pecans while still hot. Let icing cool a little and frost the cooled cake.
